Lunar Node Type

The lunar nodes are two of the chart points which may be displayed in the chart - the North node and the South node. It is possible to select the lunar nodes as either the true nodes or the mean nodes.

True node  - the real position of the moon's node at any time.

Mean node - the position of the moon's node according to a mathematical formula which ignores many of the minor perturbations in its orbit.

The chart display indicates which type of lunar node has been used during its calculation. Modern astrologers are fairly evenly divided over which node type is best to use.

Our Solar Writer quality interpretation reports for Windows are beautifully illustrated and written by world-renowned astrologers.
