Recently Used Places

In addition to your list of favorite places, Solar Fire also remembers up to five other places you have most recently entered or looked up. These places automatically appear on drop-down place selection boxes in the Chart Entry dialog, most subsidiary chart dialogs and others. Having these places listed there makes it easy for users to quickly re-access recently used places that they have not saved to their favorite places list.

However, there are some circumstances in which you may wish to remove those recently used places. For example, you may wish to refresh the timezone associated with a recently used place, in which case you would look it up again in the ACS atlas to ensure the correct timezone changes are applied. To do so, you first need to remove it from the list of recently used places. Otherwise Solar Fire will continue to used the recently used place entry instead of looking it up again from the ACS Atlas.

In the "Preferences" dialog, "Places" tab...
