Solar Writer v3 is available on USB, CD and as a downloadable version. If you own an older version of Solar Writer (such as v1 or v2) then you need to upgrade to the latest Solar Writer v3 at a cost of AU$75.

Never seen before, this creative report writer program works exclusively from an event chart enabling an astrologer to ask a horary question or erect a chart for the onset of an illness and then print an interpretations report.
Solar Medicus is designed to give the modern astrologer the ancient medical teachings with minimal embellishment. This unique tool provides the astrologer with the teachings of multiple medical astrologers, including classical medical astrologers Nicholas Culpeper and Richard Saunders, in a fashion accessible to modern astrological technique. This distinctive report writer uses a database of over 1,400 statements and aphorisms (with citations) to extract those applicable to a single horary or event chart. The report generates works from the event or horary chart exclusively; it does not compare this chart to the nativity.
The citations are often exact quotations, but the compiler, Dr. J. Lee Lehman, has added commentary to explain archaic terminology and to update the anatomical references. Our Authors
Dr Lee Lehman
Dr Lee Lehman holds MS and PhD degrees in Botany from Rutgers University. Her astrological interests have included new asteroids, historical methods, heliocentric astrology, horary and homosexuality. She has published four books to date: The Ultimate Asteroid Book (1988), Essential Dignities (1989), The Book of Rulerships (1992), Classical Astrology for Modern Living (1996) and The Martial Art of Horary Astrology (2002). She was the recipient of the 1995 Marc Edmund Jones Award, the first Horary Astrologer to be so honoured.
Dr Lehman is a faculty member of the Kepler College of Astrology and runs several of her own correspondence courses on Classical Astrology and is the author of Solar Writer—Classical and Solar Writer—Medicus.
Diana K Rosenberg
Author and lecturer the late Diana K Rosenberg (1933 – 2012) has been acclaimed as the world’s foremost authority on Fixed Stars. A founding member and Vice-President of The Uranian Society, she has written articles for the Mountain Astrologer, NCGR Journal, Geocosmic News, The Traditional Astrologer, Astrology Quarterly, Ingress, Heliogram, Urania, Dell Horoscope & American Astrology magazines.
She was the author of “The New Fixed Star Workbook”, “Nakshatras, Manzils and Hsiu: Hindu, Arabic and Chinese Lunar Mansions Research Workbook” and a “Correspondence Course in Fixed Stars and Constellations”. Our colleague Diana was the much-respected author of Solar Writer – Fixed Stars which is still available. It was a joy to work with her and she is sadly missed. Stephanie Johnson
Stephanie Johnson is the Director of Esoteric Technologies, the company that created the Solar Fire suite of astrology products. She has helped create, design, develop and author Solar Fire and the other products. In particular she is the author of many of the Solar Writer range of astrology report writers. Stephanie is also one of the creators of the Astro Gold app, has co-created Stars Webservice and runs her own Seeing With Stars astrology consultation business as well as editing the Australian Data Collection.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) and was a journalist in Australia, England and the USA for 15 years before becoming a professional astrologer. She holds the FAA Diploma qualification for her share in the design and development of the Solar suite of programs and was a former editor of the Journal of the Federation of Australian Astrologers.
Brian Clark
Brian Clark has been a consulting astrologer and educator for most of his adult life. He is the author of numerous articles, books and student publications which have been translated into French, German, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese and Spanish. In 2013 his book Family Astrology was released in Mandarin and in 2016 his next book The Astrology of Vocation will be published. Brian has authored a popular series of booklets published by Astro*Synthesis (www.astrosynthesis.com.au) which have been designed especially for the student.
He also is the creator of the Astro*Synthesis distance learning program which has been shaped from his experience as an astrological educator over the past 35 years. He conducts seminars and workshops at home and abroad, recently in Switzerland, the UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Japan. Through Odyssey Tours to Ancient Greece Brian conducts tours to the sacred sanctuaries of Ancient Greece. He has been honoured with Life Membership in the national and state astrological associations (the Federation of Australian Astrologers and the Victorian Astrological Association) as well as it professional body (the Association of Professional Astrologers) for his contributions to the discipline of astrology.
Michele Finey
Michele Finey is an astrologer, freelance writer, healer and hypnotherapist, based in Melbourne. Michele developed an interest in the planets in childhood and began teaching herself astrology in 1980. After further study with the Melbourne School of Astrology, Michele gained an FAA Diploma and served on several FAA committees in the 1980s and 1990s. In the early 1990s Michele qualified in Clinical Hypnosis and more recently gained an Arts Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing. Michele has written feature articles for numerous publications and is a member of the Association of Professional Astrologers.
Stephanie Clement
Stephanie Clement has been practicing astrology for more than thirty years. A board member of the American Federation of Astrologers and member of NCGR, Stephanie has served on the faculty of Kepler College and has been a speaker throughout the USA and in Canada.
Stephanie has published numerous articles in astrological magazines and has written several books: ‘Charting Your Spiritual Path with Astrology’, ‘Dreams: Working Interactive, Meditation for Beginners’ (also available in Spanish and other languages), ‘Power of the Midheaven’, ‘Mapping Your Birthchart’, ‘Mapping Your Family Relationships’, ‘Mapping Your Sex Life’, and ‘Aspect Patterns’.
Alex Trenoweth
Alex Trenoweth is an author, teacher and award-winning astrologer. Her book, “Growing Pains”, was written as an aid for adolescents, their parents and their teachers. Her work has been featured in Dell Horoscope, Kindred Spirit, The Career Astrologer and many other publications. In 2016, she began working with the Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology (KIA). In 2018, she was given an award for Outstanding Service to Astrology’ and an honourary PhD for her research. Janet Bridgland
Janet Bridgland is an artist and illustrator who paints in water colour. She works in a secondhand book shop called Back Pages Books, where she paints by a window overlooking a courtyard where the light is good. Her work may be seen there. Jenny K Barnes
Jenny K Barnes is an artist living in Melbourne, Australia with her partner and two young children. Jenny has a home studio which she escapes to as much as time permits around raising two toddlers. Painting brings Jenny’s mind and soul back into balance with the universe. Jenny is known for her work as the artist for the book series about Biggles the dog, an Australian children’s picture book series with access to early learning framework resources. Kay Steventon
Kay Steventon is an Australian-based artist and astrologer. After graduating in 1980 with a Diploma of Fine Arts, Kay gained the Federation of Australian Astrologers’ Professional Astrologer qualification, and ‘Living The Tarot’ Diploma. Since 1966 Kay has had many solo and mixed exhibitions in her home city of Melbourne, Australia, and overseas, specialising in symbolic art in 1992. Her first Tarot deck and book, ‘The Spiral Tarot’, was published in 1998. Kay‘s second Deck, ’Celestial Tarot‘, was published in 2003 with the Celestial book written by Brian Clark. A 52 card deck, ’Goddessess and Heroines’ was published in 2005, again a joint effort by Kay and Brian Clark. Kay is the illustrator for Esoteric Technologies’ Solar Writer – Health and Wellbeing and Solar Writer – Goddess.
